Ingredients

Meatballs

  • 1 lb ground beef or turkey
  • 1/4 cup almond flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp minced onion
  • 1 garlic clove (minced)
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp paprika

Creamy Holiday Sauce

  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp cream cheese
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp black pepper

Optional Toppings

  • Chopped parsley
  • Cracked black pepper
  • A pinch of nutmeg

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 400°F.
  • In a bowl, mix ground meat, almond flour, egg, onion, garlic, salt, pepper, and paprika.
  • Form into small meatballs and place on a baking sheet.
  • Bake 12–15 minutes until golden and cooked through.
  • Meanwhile, melt butter in a skillet.
  • Add broth, cream, cream cheese, Dijon, garlic powder, nutmeg, salt, and pepper.
  • Simmer 3–4 minutes until slightly thickened.
  • Transfer meatballs to a baking dish and pour sauce over them.
  • Bake 10 minutes to blend flavors.
  • Add optional toppings and serve warm.
