A quick, one-pan Cajun dish loaded with flavor — spicy sausage, tender cabbage, and a creamy low-carb sauce that tastes like comfort in every bite.
- 12 oz smoked andouille or kielbasa sausage (sliced)
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 cups green cabbage (shredded)
- 1 small onion (sliced)
- 1 clove garlic (minced)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 tsp paprika
- ½ tsp Cajun seasoning (or to taste)
- ¼ tsp chili flakes (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add butter. Sauté sliced sausage until browned. Remove and set aside.
In the same skillet, add onion and garlic; cook until soft and fragrant.
Add cabbage and spices, stir to coat, and cook 5–7 minutes until tender.
Pour in cream and simmer until slightly thickened (about 3–4 minutes).
Return sausage to the pan and stir to combine.
Taste, adjust seasoning, and serve garnished with fresh parsley.
