A cheesy, savory Philly-inspired ground beef skillet ready in under 30 minutes — low-carb, comforting, and perfect for weeknights.
For the Skillet
- 1 lb ground beef
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 small onion (sliced)
- 1 green bell pepper (sliced)
- 1 red bell pepper (sliced)
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce (sugar-free)
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
For the Cheese Topping
- 6 slices provolone cheese (or 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella)
Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
Add sliced onions and bell peppers; sauté 5–6 minutes until softened.
Add garlic and cook 1 additional minute.
Push vegetables to the side of the skillet and add ground beef.
Season with salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and Worcestershire sauce.
Cook until beef is browned, then stir vegetables back in.
Reduce heat to low and top with provolone or shredded cheese.
Cover and cook 2–3 minutes until cheese is melted.
Serve hot.
