A classic keto beef casserole with rich tomato sauce, fresh basil, and melted cheese — perfect for meal prep.
For the Beef Mixture
- 1.5 lb ground beef
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 small onion (diced)
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
For the Sauce & Layers
- 1 1/2 cups low-carb tomato sauce
- 1/4 cup fresh basil (chopped)
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan
Preheat oven to 375°F.
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
Add onion and garlic; sauté 2–3 minutes until softened.
Add ground beef, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Cook until browned; drain excess fat.
Stir in tomato sauce and simmer 5 minutes.
Remove from heat and stir in chopped basil.
Transfer beef mixture to a greased baking dish.
Top with mozzarella and Parmesan.
Bake 20–25 minutes until bubbly and lightly golden.
Rest 5 minutes before serving.
