Hamburger Steaks
- 1½ lb ground beef (80/20)
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
Onion Gravy
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 large yellow onion (thinly sliced)
- 2 cups beef broth
- ½ tsp Worcestershire sauce (sugar-free)
- ½ tsp xanthan gum
Mix ground beef with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
Form into 4 thick patties.
Sear patties in a hot skillet for 4–5 minutes per side. Remove.
Add butter and onions to the skillet and cook until soft.
Add beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, scraping the pan.
Whisk in xanthan gum and return patties to the skillet.
Simmer until gravy thickens and steaks are cooked through.
