Ingredients

Hamburger Steaks

  • lb ground beef (80/20)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder

Onion Gravy

  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 large yellow onion (thinly sliced)
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • ½ tsp Worcestershire sauce (sugar-free)
  • ½ tsp xanthan gum

Instructions 

  • Mix ground beef with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  • Form into 4 thick patties.
  • Sear patties in a hot skillet for 4–5 minutes per side. Remove.
  • Add butter and onions to the skillet and cook until soft.
  • Add beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, scraping the pan.
  • Whisk in xanthan gum and return patties to the skillet.
  • Simmer until gravy thickens and steaks are cooked through.
