- 2 ribeye or sirloin steaks (about 8–9 oz each)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp butter (for searing)
- Salt and black pepper
Garlic Butter
- 3 tbsp butter (softened)
- 1 garlic clove (minced)
- ½ tsp parsley or thyme
- Pinch of salt
Mix garlic butter ingredients and chill in fridge.
Pat steaks dry, season generously with salt and pepper.
Heat olive oil and 2 tbsp butter in a skillet over high heat.
Sear steaks 2–3 minutes per side for medium-rare.
Spoon hot butter over steaks as they cook.
Rest steaks 5 minutes, then top with garlic butter before serving.
