Cooking & storage FAQ
Clear endpoints beat confident guessing.
Which cooking temperatures does DailyKeto use?
Chicken: 165°F (74°C). Ground beef: 160°F (71°C). Whole pork and beef cuts: 145°F (63°C) plus at least a 3-minute rest. Fish: 145°F (63°C), or opaque and flaking where a thermometer is impractical. These are USDA safety baselines, not promises about preferred doneness.
How quickly should leftovers be chilled?
Refrigerate perishable food within two hours, using shallow containers when a large batch needs to cool. When in doubt, discard food that has spent too long at room temperature.
Why do product labels matter?
Broth, deli meat, wraps, protein powders, sweeteners, and sugar-free chocolate can move sodium, carbohydrates, fibre, and sugar alcohols enough to change the displayed estimate.
How should I use the nutrition values?
Treat them as per-serving estimates. Check the labels on the products you use and recalculate when a substitution or serving size materially changes the recipe.
